SONOMA ON A BUDGET: WINE TASTING DEALS & FREE TASTINGS

Taste the Best of Sonoma… on a budget!

Just because you’re on a budget doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time - and taste great wines - when you’re in Sonoma. In fact, I bet you’ll have an even better time than the people spending big bucks on tasting fees, especially when you get home and the credit card statement arrives.

Believe it or not, Sonoma has a few FREE tastings and plenty of 2 for 1 offers, making this budget wine lovers dream destination. And remember, if you get overwhelmed planning your trip just reach out to me and I’ll personally respond to your questions - free of charge!

Wineries deals can change at any time so always call ahead and please email me if I need to update any of these offers.

One for me, One for You

With the prices of everything going up in 2026 it’s nice to know you can still get 2 for 1 wine tasting in Sonoma and Napa. The Priority Wine Pass is the original wine tasting passport and is good for a full year. At just $39 per couple it’s a no-brainer for wine lovers on a budget!

FREE TASTINGS IN SONOMA COUNTY

KORBEL WINERY: A free splash of sparkling after a hour walking tour at this Guerneville winnery is barely worth it but perhaps good for those who are more interested in visiting wineries versus tasting at them. The $15 tasting fee upgrade might be the better way to go. (Map Location)

LOCALS TASTING ROOM: Another Geyserville tasting room, Locals is part wine shop, part tasting room featuring 6 small wine producers where you might end up tasting with the winemakers themselves. Free tastings with no pressure to buy - though I bet you will after visiting this friendly tasting experience. (Map Location)

MEADOWCROFT WINES: Located in Sonoma Cornerstone, the once bustling marketplace that went bust and is set for a revival, Meadowcroft has a tasting room there and is hoping their FREE tastings for up to groups of 6 will lure people back. These were once $25 per person so a pretty good deal. (Map Location)

PRO-TIP: Make sure you map these out before adding them to your agenda as many of the free tastings are in remote areas and always buy wine and tip when the wine is free.
